The Pilates Method
Holistic, Effective, and Centered on You

The Pilates method is a systematic, low-impact training approach developed by Joseph Hubertus Pilates. It strengthens the body from the inside out by targeting deep stabilizing muscles, especially in the core, back, and pelvic floor.

This unique method integrates controlled strength exercises, stretching, and mindful breathing—resulting in better posture, improved mobility, and reduced stress. With over 500 exercises that alternate between strength and flexibility, Pilates provides a balanced and functional workout suitable for all levels.

The Powerhouse
Core of Every Pilates Movement

Central to Pilates is the “Powerhouse”, the group of core muscles surrounding the spine and midsection, including the transverse abdominis, pelvic floor, and lower back muscles. Strengthening this area improves balance, stability, and movement efficiency, forming the foundation for every exercise in our classes.

At Ohana Pilates Studio, we focus on slow, fluid, and precise movements, ensuring safe progress and long-lasting results—while protecting your joints and muscles.
